Harmony quilt kits from Sweet Treasures Quilts from Carried Away Quilting


Those talented ladies at Sweet Treasures Quilts have done it again! They've stitched up one of my patterns in a beautiful new fabric collection and are offering it as a kit. Here is my Harmony pattern featuring the Canning Day collection by Corey Yoder for Moda.

~ Canning Day ~ from Podunk Pretties

This is the result of dusting the Studio this morning.  It's the story of my life.  I take a notion to do one thing and then end up WAY off course.  I'm sure some of you can relate or a least I hope so. 


When I pulled the jar down off the top of one of my stash cabinets to dust it I thought "I should sort these scraps someday....Why not do it now?"

Selecting fabrics for your spring sewing projects from Carried Away Quilting


Fabric selection ~ the quilter’s nemesis. Most of us feel some lack of confidence and unease when it comes to selecting fabric for our next quilting project. In fact, it can cause us to stop in our tracks. We purchase pretty new patterns and quilting books, and then they stockpile in our sewing rooms until we muster up some fabric-picking gumption. This is probably why so many of us love to purchase kits. Someone else has done the hard work for us!
